Tandemrally 2022 Willebadessen
Dear Tandem friends,
the second Tandemrally 2022 we dive into the legends and myths from the Weserbergland to the Teutoburg Forest.
According to legend, the Germanic tribes once inflicted a crushing defeat on the Romans at the Battle of Varus in 9 AD, heralding the end of Roman efforts to make the areas of Germania on the right bank of the Rhine as far as the Elbe a province of the Roman Empire. Today, castles, moated palaces and numerous other cultural highlights bear witness to the region's storied past.
Around the historic Benedictine monastery with its well-preserved buildings and beautiful historic parish church lies the village of Willebadessen. The place offers us the ideal starting point for day trips between the Weser and the Teutoburg Forest.

Accommodation
Modern, comfortable rooms and a warm atmosphere await you. Situated on the historic monastery grounds, the Hotel IM SCHLOSSPARK offers us a unique atmosphere hidden behind walls. The hotel is booked exclusively for us as a group during the tandemrally. Overnight guests with tents or camper vans will find space in the beautiful castle park directly in front of the hotel or on the estate grounds. Showers and sanitary facilities for the campers are available in the wellness area of the hotel.

Registration
After registration a deposit of 100,- Euro per tandem team is to be paid.
A confirmation of registration will be sent after receipt of payment or after receipt of the registration with direct debit foreign easiest CC.
A Santana Tandem is not required!

How to get there
By car:
From direction Dortmund
A44 in the direction of Kassel; exit "Lichtenau" continue in the direction of Lichtenau; after 10 km in Lichtenau turn right onto Lange Str./B68; at the end of the town take the third exit at the traffic circle in the direction of Willebadessen; after approx. 10 km turn left onto the L763 in the direction of Willebadessen; continue until you reach the town center; the hotel is located in the castle park near the church
From direction Kassel
A44 in the direction of Dortmund; exit (64) Diemelstadt continue in the direction of Bad Driburg/Willebadessen/Scherfede; after approx. 3 km turn left onto the B 252 in the direction of Willebadessen; after approx. 6 km continue in the same direction on the L828; after approx. 12 km turn left - in the direction of Willebadessen; then drive to the town center; the hotel is located in the castle park near the church
From direction Hannover
B217 in the direction of Hameln; continue on the B1 in the direction of Detmold; before Detmold, in Blomberg turn left in the direction of Steinheim; continue on the B252 (Ostwestfalen Straße) in the direction of Brakel; pass Brakel and drive in the direction of Warburg; before Niesen turn right in the direction of Willebadesssen; after approx. 8 km you will reach the entrance to the village; drive to the center of the village; the hotel is located in the castle park near the church
From direction Bielefeld/Paderborn
A33 in the direction of Paderborn; exit Paderborn-Zentrum; continue on the B64 in the direction of Bad Driburg; at Haxtergrund turn onto the B68 in the direction of Lichtenau, Warburg; drive through Lichtennau and at the end of the village take the third exit at the traffic circle in the direction of Willebadessen; after approx. 10 km the road ends, then turn left past the train station; drive to the center of the village; the hotel is located in the castle park near the church
By train:
A very good train connection is given with the station Willebadessen.
The stop is served by the "Ems-Börde-Bahn" (RB 89) and by the Rhine-Hellweg-Express (RRX RE11).
The RB89 of the eurobahn serves the direct connection Warburg - Willebadessen - Paderborn - Hamm - Münster.
The RE11 of abellio operates between Düsseldorf and Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe, serving the major cities of Duisburg, Essen, Bochum, Dortmund, Hamm and Paderborn, among others.
